Having just written a paper on the above topic, I read the Talmud post with
interest. I would add another post that if the wife wishes to nurse and the
husband does not wish her to we follow the wife's wishes because "the pain
is hers" ( I wish I could show that to a couple of judges in some custody
cases!!!). As I submitted the paper for publication I do not wish to post
it on the net but if someone would like to see a draft please email me
privately.
