Just got our TV Guide (March 14-20) in the mail and I go through and tear
out ads, card stock, etc, and I didn't get far when I cam across a 4 page
Lysol ad, page 15, and it says in Bold, colorful print "The Healthy Home
& How to Build IT" then has a picture of Mom looking adoringly over Dad's
shoulder as Dad feeds baby a bottle. Underneath there is some text in
small print with 'Laying the Foundation' in smaller bold, but colorful
print. There is nothing in the 4 pages about feeding, it's all about
disinfecting areas where baby is. So why would they need to use a
bottle? Why not just a picture of the family playing, etc. There was no
address at end of ad, just an 800 # to call for more 'tips'. If anyone
can find an email or snail mail address, I will write a letter.
This especially irritates me when they use a bottle to illustrate that
they are talking about a baby, when it has nothing to do with the context
of what they are saying or advertising. Just the baby should be
illustration enough.
Thanks for the time & place to vent - my family thanks you too! They
won't have to listen to quite so much venting!
