Hi all,

Actually, I have seen that giving out breast pumps at discharge can be a
deterrent because some mothers don't get but a few drops the first few times
they use it. Then they assume they don' have enough milk and start
supplementing, which in reality means they will soon be completely formula
feeding. Better to give them a nice book :) as a "gift," and a handout with
resources including places to rent/buy pumps and LLL numbers and lactation
consultants. IMHO

Has anyone seen a copy yet of the AAP statement? I know a person who has it
and says there are no big surprises in it.
