In the countries that do not value girls, women---do they decide to let a
few woman live, so they can be "good" women and birth boys who are so
valued in the society?  If all the girls were left to die, what would
happen to their population?  Do they even consider this?  I guess I just
don't understand this?  I have seen this in Vietnamese culture---not to
the extent of killing female babies, but of the husband going out and
taking a mistress or another wife in order to have a son or more sons.  I
am sorry if this is too barbed this morning, but it is early.
