I apologise for being slightly off-topic, but about a year ago on lactnet
induced abortion was said to increase a woman's risk of breast cancer. A
very good study (population-based registers of abortion and cancer in
Denmark) has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine which
shows overall no risk of breast cancer in these women. You can find it in
the Jan 9 1997 edition (336:81-85). The abstract and a full editorial can
be found at
http://www.nejm.org/current.htm (just go back to Jan 9).
