Hi everyone,

When I was looking at the British Medical Journal site
(http://www.bmj.com/bmj/) the other day I tried searching their archives
and found that they spell breastfeeding as two words. I dropped them a
note letting them know that the preferred spelling is one word. This is
their reply:

Dear Dr Amir

When we use "breastfeeding" as a noun we use one word, and as an
adjective then two words.
I am sorry if this messes up your searches.

Yours sincerely

Does this make sense? Any grammar experts out there???
