Diane,
I have a few articles from Dewey's group in Davis, CA on exercise and BF.
One that found that aerobic exercise had no effect on milk composition and
volume:
Dewey, et al. 1994. New Eng J Med 330(7):449-53.
One that found a tendency for exercising women to have higher milk volume
and energy output:
Lovelady, et al. 1990. American Journal of Clinical Nutr. 52:103-9.
I think that others who have found decreased infant acceptance of
post-exercise milk have looked at moms exercising anaerobically (where more
lactic acid is produced). Aerobic, moderate-intensity exercise seems to be
okay (and maybe beneficial). Good Luck! Let me know what else you find!
