Dr. Hale,

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am not a health care professional.  As a
breastfeeding counsellor I have met a few women and babies with thrush and,
in a lot of cases, they go through several rounds of medication and then are
successful with Gentian Violet.  I was just curious why gentian violet
should be a last resort.  Thank you for your help.
