Hi All,
Just before I go "nomail" tomorrow, I'd like to remind you all to start thinking about your workplace plans for World Breastfeeding Week 2013. It's a great opportunity to do some breastfeeding promotion, to recognise people who have contributed in your workplace or community, or just to celebrate with colleagues the work you do. It's May already, and WBW seems a long way away, but time flies by. Planning ahead can make for a more successful week.
The theme is "Breastfeeding Support - Close to Mothers", with a focus on peer counsellors. Perhaps you can plan for recognition of peer counsellors in your community, or investigate how to start a training program? I'm sure you will have lots more ideas.
The WBW website is at http://worldbreastfeedingweek.org and ILCA is a good source of materials, www.ilca.org , including from past years.
While I'm "nomail" I can be contacted privately on some of the topics I regular raise.
Best wishes,
Virginia
