Re: supplementing a baby over 6 mo  in an industrialized area. ie:USA

Let's be practical and not check our common sense..  For a healthy baby, 
starting solids, whose mom needs to supplement while at work....use formula. 
It is not practical, inexpensive or easy to obtain human milk.  Save what is 
available for use in NICUs!  Those babies really need donor milk.

Unfortunately in the US we are not kind to working mothers.  If lucky, they 
get 6 weeks at home.  If lucky, baby stays somewhere within a 1/2 hr of mom. 
We don't have work place nurseries. We are finally lucky to get pumping time 
if org has 50 or more employees!  We need to change the system, not  pick on 
moms who need to use formula in the lousy USA work conditions.  Pat in SNJ
