   Well, I'm not in the mid-West, but in the Champlain valley, according 
one of the two seed/fertilizer/field services companies that cover the 
area, all corn seed, unless organic, is treated with clothianidin.

Also, I used to buy my garden seeds from a company in New York state. 
Their corn seed, formerly treated with captan, is now treated with 
neonics. They don't offer untreated seed. I changed suppliers.
