The listmothers have received an e-mail from Mead Johnson's regions
general counsel, Stanley Barringer, who tells us that Mead Johnson
'urgently' want to pursue our process for how to get material removed
from our archives that 'implies false, negative information' about one
of their products.

This is the first time we've had such a request from a manufacturer of
 breastmilk substitutes and nutritional supplements for infants. It's
intriguing since we have no subscribers with an e-mail address showing
them to be associated with Mead Johnson. Of course, anyone can read
everything in the Lactnet archives, and people do subscribe from their
private e-mail addresses.

We don't know which post(s) they are concerned about so we have asked
Mr Barringer to elaborate. We'll keep you updated as needed. If any
of you have been contacted by Mr Barringer off the list, please feel
free to let us know.

on behalf of the listmothers
