Wow, Mary, what an uncomfortable interaction!

A baby who is clenching and biting after suctioning needs craniosacral
work, or chiropractic, or osteopathic manipulation, or whatever kind of
bodywork you can scare up in your hospital.  Poor baby.   And I hope the
pedi is able to see the baby and gain firsthand knowledge of what
suctioning can do to both ability and desire to latch!
