Hi All I thoroughly recommend the book "what every parent needs to know" by Margot Sunderland.It is evidence based  & easy to read.It covers many things includingresponding to cues from baby(as we do with breastfeeding) & how the babies & childrens brain develop at different stages & how important good attachment is....& lots more.A website www.aaimhi.org talks about the risks of controlled crying (CIO) & responding to cues too.The Australian Academy of Infant Mental Health.
