Hi Barbara
If it's not a problem then it's not a problem.  Given that the baby is happy
at the breast regardless of whether mum feels a let down, perhaps the baby
is actually in control of what's going on here; suckling differently when
she knows she only wants a little snack and a long cuddle.  Then later when
she feels hungry, she lets mum's body know.  Now, there is no research about
this but it makes sense to assume such things are normal variations until
there is a problem.
