I think I would stop the topical treatments, cleanse with mild soap and
water 3x per day, pat dry with soft cotton. Expose to air and light. Culture
the nipple cracks and probably have mom see a dermatologist. I would be
thinking staph infection possibly MRSA. This might need systemic treatment
with antibiotic. Also could be a dermatitis and some of the ingredients in
the topicals are exacerbating. A prescription strength topical steroid would
likely help this. These diagnoses and treatments require an MD or similar
practitioner.
