Were all of the bouts of mastitis on the right side as well? Perhaps she could
let the right side shut down and just nurse on the left. And maybe if she
always has problems on the right side she should have that right breast
evaluated by a breast specialist.

Perhaps a castor oil pack would help her clear the plug. I just recommended
this for someone last month, who was adamant that she wanted to avoid
antibiotics if possible for her mastitis and it worked to clear up her breast (I
think :) or else the breast may have just cleared up on its own!!!) It clearly
didn't hurt...
