Yes, Nikki, those girls really know where our "buttons" are, and how to push them sometimes, don' t they?
My own dear girl used to use that one on me, too, but she went a little further and announced she would NEVER have children to begin with!  Then, she decided she wanted to spread her wings a bit after high school, instead of going directly to college.  So she took a job in Switzerland as an au pair, of all things, caring for a one-year-old and a five-year-old!  She has really enjoyed the baby, particularly, so that has given her father and I a chuckle when we recall her dramatic statements.

Dear Friends:

The stories of children teasing their mothers with mentions of formula made
me remember a threat issued by my then 14 or 15 year old daughter. She hit a
new low with me one day after one of those less than comfortable and easy
discussions about some household rule by glaring at  me and hissing "And
when I have a baby, I am NOT breastfeeding" before she stalked out of the
room.

warmly,
