Our local HCPs believe that the risk of infection from clipping is
greater than the risk of failing at breastfeeding. Some of our local
HCPs call clipping a tongue-tie "a harebrained idea from LLL Leaders who
have too much time on their hands." They argue that a baby can be
trained to stretch out their tongue enough to make breastfeeding
possible, regardless of the degree of severity. It is a weak argument
(the risk of infection) considering the number (almost 100%) of the boys
that leave the hospital circumcised.

We would love to have a professional educated in the advantages of
clipping a tongue-tie fly into our area and educate our local HCPs at
some sort of seminar...but there is no money available for such an
expense...anybody want to come to Windy Wyoming and donate such a session???
