They really are nice, cute, but for babies like mine the hat will be the distraction rather than the hat being the barrier to distractions. They never wanted any hats on their heads and frantically started to pull things off of their heads as soon as anything touched it.

I agree -- I thought these very large-brimmed baby hats were adorable!  I love
the "hi mummy" text along the edge too.  What a sweet touch.  The brim
provides a lot of privacy from onlookers without obstructing mother-baby
eye-to-eye connection or reducing the baby's access to mom's skin.  And
the fact that it's a baby hat makes it unobtrusive, not a blatantly obvious
attempt to conceal nursing like the various shawls and curtains.  The only
drawback I can see is that they are sized to fit only up to 6 months.
