Marianna - Congrats on your decision to become and LC - I'd recommend you 
get the application and start looking at it - it'll be a lengthy process 
for you with the experience hours, and the test is not easy. 

I agreed with you that there are some "closet nursers" out there. Our 
society is so non supportive of nursing beyond a few months that it forces 
moms who do to not talk about it. Several of our nurses have nursed 2,3, 
and 4 years but it was not a widely known fact. I think they only told me 
because they knew I'd be supportive.
