<< Every summer, as rings become more evident, I muse
that if I could access a thoughtful, research-based
pamphlet or tear-off sheet on the subject I'd be happy
to spend a day visiting local piercing studios for a
snappy yet cheerful in-service. (If you have one, do
post!)

Well, while we're at it we need a handout/tear-off sheet that covers
tattooing as well. As tattooing is becoming more and more popular, more
women either have tattoos when they become pregnant or wish to get them
after having the baby. Unfortunately far too many HCP's as well as
uninformed tattoo artists give bad and erroneous information regarding the
safety of breastfeeding with tattoos in place and getting tattooed while
breastfeeding. I won't even go into the whole realm of tattoo
removal...that's another story. And an In-Service for tattoo artists isn't
a bad idea!!
