This isn't exactly about pacifiers but when Jan spoke about NNS and 
generally learning to suck corrrectly (if baby is not doing well at 
breast), it reminded me of something. I have just returned from that 
wonderful  breastfeeding/childbirth ed conference that Women and Infnats 
Hospital in Povidence, Rhode Island sponsers every year. This year's 
keynote speaker was Jack Newman, who we all know is a wonderful 
presenter.Several times over the course of the day, he referred back to 
finger feeding as a transition to the breast (as opposed to an alternative 
to the bottle). I had never thought of it from that perspective. I just 
thought that was pretty cool.I realized that in my practice (in the 
hospital and out) I sometimes do that but had somehow never thought of FF 
in that way. Just thought I'd share.
