exactly. for many, that means knowing what the literature shows. i
changed *how* i coslept with my second b/c of the evidence.
i keep my kids in carseats and boosters for a long long time b/c of the
evidence.
i nurse for a long long long time b/c of the evidence.
without the evidence, I wouldn't have done any of those things. I
really really don't like nursing. I'd really like to snuggle with my
baby under a down comforter. and carseats over the long haul are a
hassle.
when there's clear evidence though, that something is risky, I make
choices make things as safe as they can be. for me, it's not about a
scare tactic. it's about sound evidence, logic and choices.
