Two comments...

First, in prenatal class 95% of women question "How soon can I have the epidural?" Not whether, but when. I can teach them everything available about the effects of epidural, but it's not what they want to hear. None of them plan on having a C/S but I give them the local stats and tell them about that too (about 20 min worth and including a video clip).

Second, after the baby is born, it's always "I HAD to have a C/S" Sometimes they'll go on to give a reason, some of which sound perfectly reasonable, and some less so. Of course, right after that many women will mention that they wish I'd mentioned something about C/S in class... <sigh>

Looks like the fight for birth with minimal interventions needs to heat up again.

Judith
