I believe the crap-in-a-can companies went to "diaper bag" gift packs a
number of years ago *precisely* because enlightened healthcare professionals
and hospitals were refusing to hand out to nursing mothers the
shrink-wrapped ABM packs that included 1/2 gallon (sic) of ready-mix formula
and a little 10 cent toy .

The rationale behind the diaper bags was that the "nursing mothers would see
how cute they were <snort> and would request one"; at their request, the
hospital/healthcare practitioner would HAVE to give them one <double snort>.
They did cover the aspect that even if the ABM and the coupons were removed,
the diaper bag with all of its company's logos printed on the sides, would
still be an excellent marketing tool.

Ahhhh, but the numbers of nursing mothers continues to rise and the duration
rates are beginning to approach 5 - 6 months...... Dang, they thought.

So, now, they are *demanding* that the junk stay in the bag or "you can't
have the bags at all" <hands on their hips, glaring superiorly>.

Fine, I say. Keep the bags, your logo-splattered breastfeeding book, your
crates of silly rubber foolers, your nasty, cheap baby fluids, and your
stupid looks.

Now, what was so hard about that?
