Far, far from my area of expertise or interest Val, but I had to comment
on what a valuable answer you found for Francois by digging among your
sources on the internet and posing some pertinent questions for the mom
to ask. One of the truly great functions of Lactnet to permit an exchange
like this!

Our local university has a specialist in communicable diseases of all
kinds (and I believe has quite a few HIV+ patients locally.) It would be
great if the mom in France had someone with that expertise there to
consult.
