<<Try "nose to nipple" for those slurper babes>>

Catherine, I do, or try to do, nose to nipple for every baby. In fact I described this very thing leading to a beautiful asymmetric latch just a couple of weeks ago. This was a baby that, as soon as he was placed "in position", before I could begin to place him in the best position, he had already
located and slurped up the nipple! No time to adjust and rearrange, just ...boom...he's on and sucking happily. I had barely gotten the word, "now..." out of my mouth, as I start to fine tune the position, when I had to laugh and say, "well, I guess he was really hungry and wanted to do it
himself!" Anyway, this baby foiled my best attempts. He was just too quick for me! Maybe I'm getting slow in my advancing years!!! I definitely considered him a "barracuda" nurser. He was quite enthusiastic! Latch on was painful enough for mom that I wasn't about to take him off and "make him
do it right!"

Marsha, whose thoughts are with Debbie T. and those who live around the Washington, DC area right now, as I listen to yet another report of a sniper killing.
