Jane suggests:

"So teach them bottlefeeding from the breastfeeding perspective. Info
like
switching sides for good eye muscle development, mom should do most(if
not
all) of the feeding in the early months because infants needs, laundry
issus,
reading labels-how harmful it is to mix it wrong! need to check
expiration
dates and recalls-babies have died from contaminated formula! If you do
it
right thay will all be asking to breastfeed!!!"

Great! Don't forget the true cost of formula once the initial free
samples are gone (and if on WIC, once the amount she receives is less
than baby'e needs).

"Formula feeding is hard-we make it too easy in the hospital!"

What if instead of ready-to-feed bottles mom had to prepare the bottle
each time. It would also make night nurses think twice before popping a
bottle in a breastfeeding baby's mouth if it was more work and not just
the fun of holding a baby while you feed it! (Unfortunately, with
almost all hospital supplies being packaged for one time use, this would
never go over, but one can dream.)

Winnie
