It is actually soy protein isolates which are of concern. (I am referring to
foods, not AIM, in which soy poses numerous problems). One of their
by-products is a naturally-occuring MSG, over which there has been a great
deal of controversy. These are found in meat analogues and many
non-vegetarian foods as well, b/c they are cheap. (This is aside from the
issue of GM). Tofu, tempeh, soy milk and miso are free of these isolates.
Even so, it is not necessarily a good idea to consume these foods every day.
