I was thinking this would be a good topic for Linda Smith's list...

The only thing I could find which brought together prolactin and vision was
a pituitary tumor. As it grows, it puts pressure on the optic nerve, and
causes vision difficulties. Usually the peripheral vision goes first. There
would be other symptoms first, such as ovulatory dysfunction, excessive
prolactin levels in the blood, menopausal symptoms.

Breastfeeding would be the least of her problems, if this were the case!

Best wishes from incredibly hot and humid Ohio,
Sam Doak

Re: opthalmologist indicating mother's visual issues are related to BF --
I'd be very interested to read the reseach he provided to support his view.
I did a search on PubMed and came up with nothing. Would think if an issue
our speies wouldn't have survived -- all the women would have kept walking
into things.

I had double vision when Bf after one of my pregnancies... Oh yeah, that was
the one when I had identical twins.
