Pediatrician thinks the baby is OK neurologically? No birth
injuries they can identify? Can he breath while he's nursing?

Do you have a resource for CranioSacral Therapy in your
area? It really sounds like this little baby has sustained
more than the average amt of trauma, may be in pain.
A chiropractor, a naturopath, an osteopath or perphaps
a certified massage therapist might have the cranio sacral
therapy training.

If you use Bach Flowers - not a bad idea to use some here too.
Certainly Rescue Remedy, specific remedies as indicated.

Absolutely agree with scheduled feeds (cup/spoon/whatever
will work) while investigating cause of not nursing. Plus as
much skin to skin holding as possible to calm baby, increase mom's
ability to read his signals.
