Dee Kassing found a good distributor for the Medihoney, it's
http://mercysurgical.com/ . You can look at the catalog online, but you
have to call to order. They are very nice, and are happy to serve
lactation consultants with small orders. They have nice paper tape for
supplementers and gloves as well.

As for how often to apply, I usually encourage moms to use it after
every nursing, continuous use is the rule for moist wound healing
dressings, including medihoney. I do instruct moms to rinse before
nursing (no scrubbing needed, it melts off with a little warm water) if
the baby is under 6 months old to preserve exclusive breastfeeding.
Medihoney is not absorbed into the skin like topical pharmaceuticals
are. For injuries, it should be used until the wound is healed, for
infections, it may take several weeks to totally resolve them.

I have not tried coconut oil yet, am interested in reading the research
first.
