I have seen with myself and other women that when I am feeling down
about being a mom and all of the emotional struggle that goes along with
that that my milk supply decreases. As soon as I'm back to coping with
motherhood again up goes the supply (meaning I don't have the dry
pulling feeling when the baby nurses and the loose empty feeling to the
breast anymore).

Isn't it about four months pp that moms start to lose the extra hair
they grew during pregnancy as the progesterone levels come down ? Also
about 4 months in age seems to be the time a baby begins to get
particularly demanding (I percieve mine that way anyhow).

I also noticed a decrease in supply as I got my first period this week
(baby is 17 months old) but I was very cranky and angry the two days
before and didn't get over the trauma I caused until 3 days into it -so
the emotional factor again.
