The good news is that the K9 or K-9 or K.9 mark was used by the Know Glass Bottle Co. from ca. 1910 (probably a few years later) to 1932. Beginning in the State of New York in 1910, glass houses wishing to sell milk bottles had to embossed each container with the logo or initials of the glass house and an identifying number. Other states followed suit, and, by ca. 1916, most milk bottle manufacturers just used this number on all milk bottles for use anywhere. In 1932, Knox sold the milk bottle business to the Thatcher Mfg. Co. Since Thatcher already had its own marks and logos, the K9 ceased to be used. The bad news, of course, is that a range of ca. 1910 to 1932 is too long to be of much help.

2008 "The Knox Glass Bottle Co." Bottles and Extras 19(3):54-63.

The article is also available on Bill Lindsey's Historic Bottle Webpage.

The clear base has what looks to be a 0 or something to that effect above a "K 9" it is uncertain if there is something in between, but the mark doesn't match any of the Knox marks we have seen. the other is just decorative work we were hoping someone might recognize.
