How about opening it up do a half dozen or so and have each play a
variation of the Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations, with all of them joining
in for the final variation/coda? For the rest of the concert, I like the
idea of a round robin, with each cellist taking a different movement of
a concerto (the Schumann and the Dvorak would make a real crowd pleasing
concert, though it might result in an overdose of romanticism).
