First of all; there will of course supply better recordings generally of
each symphony if individual recordings are chosen, but I think the best
redux one get from complete sets, and they should include a Karajan (1962
is a good one) - or Szell/Cleveland, and Norrington for a HIPset.  I
wouldn't be able to pick just one set.  I would get a nervous breakdown.
