I don't mind telling you that 'most' of the bee supply houses buy a standard
'pry bar' from a company that manufacturers them by the thousand for the
likes of Home Depot, Lowes, etc.  One company formerly had their hive tools
made by a knife manufacturer (and may still do so) and if you had a chance
to use the 'pry bar' and 'knife manufacturer tool' at the same time and in
the same place I think you'd find the latter very superior.  That said, for
1/2 the price the 'pry bar' is clearly the tool of choice.  I have 15-20 and
buy a half-dozen a year.

Sorry, I really can't say which dealer carrys which, but you all get to see
different hive tools at the various conventions and seminars and when side
by side the differences are clear.
