Many of the records are cited and summarized in the Pollinator Handbook.

Subject: [BEE-L] Bee Kills and pesticides

The first years of the Pesticide Indemnity Act were pretty accurate in numbers, but they became inflated after a short time. But cotton in Arizona, and every state it was grown in and if I recall, alfalfa seed in California were leaders of the kill pack. Hundreds in alfalfa seed every season, and the same in cotton if I recall....and that may be an issue....my recalling. I'd bet Beltsville has some records because they had to confirm the kill....
