Possible yes, but remember, one never knows how this will play out -  we 
usually hear about it after the fact.  We did get some samples from  yards 
where this occurred when we had some time to revisit some of the CA yards  
during the 2006-2007 collapse - that's in part why we started following the line 
 of investigation that we eventually settled on.
 
But, we usually arrive after the collapse - that's when the beekeeper  
calls.  And lots of the big money was spent trying to do longitudinal  studies - 
where one follows collapsing operations.  Problem is, never know  once its 
hit, when it will hit again.  The survivor colonies may do fine  for a long 
time.  So you eat up your funds chasing a ghost.
