> I move colonies from 5-frame nuc boxes to singles

I do quite the opposite, downsizing colonies that aren't building well into
5-frame styrofoam nuc boxes to thelp them maintain hive temps and build
better. It has proven to be a good strategy. Lots more work, but they
recover and take off and can be moved back into a single deep to take off
from there, whereas if they were left alone, floundering in the deep all
along they never amount to anything.

Tips from the great white North of New York where it has not gotten above
freezing for the past week and will not get out of the teens next Tuesday.

Brrrrr!

Aaron Morris - I think, therefore I bee!
