If you put the beeswax in a tub of boiling water, then dip the duck/ goose
into the mix , slowly withdraw the fowl.  The wax enters the feathers and
down and solidifies. They then can be removed in large sections, right down
to the skin.  Some of the wax can be reclaimed.
