I love the free market system.  But unregulated, the free market system has
demonstrated again and again that the end result is environmental
destruction, child labor, and a huge class disparity.  The lesson is that
we must strike a balance between the innate efficiency of the free market
system, coupled with governmental regulation to protect us and the
environment from its excesses.
