The most commonly quoted mechanism is if say the simple chemical penetrates
the cuticle, a mite evolves a thicker cuticle which gives it an advantage
and its offspring become dominant - unkless the mutaion also reduces say
reproduction, when it may not .

But I am not a scientist either.   Is Max Watkins in the house?
