Allen Dick kindly pointed to a résumé of an article that appeared in the
French magazine "La Recherche" November 2001 titled "Le Gaucho - is it
the bees enemy?

It must be pointed out that there is quite a difference between that
which appears on the net and the original " paper" article.
In the later there is a very interesting synthesis of studied effects of
Imidacloprid on different behaviours patterns of honey bees.
Also, a short discussion on the different effects Imidacloprid may have
on winter and summer bees - and how it was or was not taken into account
in trials.
Other point to be made is that the listed refs. is highly selective.
