> What does a salad shooter do ?

Hi Ari,

A salad shooter is a kitchen appliance that slices vegatables. The user
loads say a carrot or radish into the salad shooter, holds it over a bowl of
lettuce, pulls the trigger, a circular blade spins in the salad shooter, and
carrot or radish slices are shot out of the barrell of the salad shooter. I
always thought it was a rather useless device intended for those unable to
figure out how to use a knife, but the blueberry mead idea sheds a new light
on my consideration.

Personally when I make a blueberry mead I simply freeze the berries first.
The freezing ruptures the cell walls of the berries, and when they thaw they
release copious amounts of blueberry juices. Far easier than the salad
shooter!
