Over the past year or so, there has been a series of puzzling but overt

The feedback that I was getting from other beekeepers wasn't that Nosema c.
had no effect, but that treatment with Fumagillin was ineffective and in
many cases caused spore levels to increase.

I sent samples to the NBDC in Alberta from all of my yards a couple of
times and could find no correlation between spore count and productivity or
spore count and overwintering success. Fall counts ranged from 0 to just
under 1 million spores. Counts from the following varied from 500 000 to
6.2 million spores.
