Dream on, Randy. Beekeepers will not all agree on anything, but you
are smart to solicit criticism of your designs before you run them. That
is a mistake others have made, if, indeed, it was a mistake. I can't
believe that some of the researchers did not know in advance that their
studies would be quietly ridiculed and their reputations diminished by
their design and execution, not to mention the treatment of the data in
the infrequent cases that these details have been totally revealed.

I'm happy to hear 1. that you will be doing it, and 2. that you are soliciting
input. I know you will do it well and if you do it right, you'll get more
respect than some who have made assumptions and therefore done
superficial and flawed work.

After seeking input on design, I hope you follow up by making the process
transparent and the data available for alternate and independent analysis.

BTW, don't forget to spike your samples when you send them out for lab
tests. Others have invalidated a lot of hard work and looked silly by
neglecting such basic checks.
