Looking back many researchers were of the opinion IAPV
Was not new but simply a form of the known Kashmir Bee Virus.

Could the thought of new research funding give pause to doubters as to the hypothesis of those seeking funding?

Kashmir bee virus had made world headlines as the killer in the recent losses in the Peace River in Canada.

Nosema C. Was making beekeeping headlines in Spain.

These were not new.

Many wanted to blame Hackenberg but all Dave did was report unexplained losses as dld Lance S. In California.

Enough said but I do enjoy looking back on beekeeping.history.

One has to ponder if when looking for a.villian those seeking funding might have.thought lets blame the problem on the Aussie lmport bees.

Isreal had reported problems with a new virus.
