Hi Peter,

We check for acarine and are not a million miles from you. In one locally-adapted colony this year we had almost 100% infection with acarine (5x30 bees) yet our varroa counts are low throughout that apiary (around 20 colonies). There are pockets around the UK that I've heard off. But no most don't check for it and we were the only beekeepers at a winter meeting who even monitor Nosema.
